Who We Are

A nonprofit built on a simple belief: creativity is care

Arts-n-STEM 4 Hearts brings art programming, STEM enrichment, and supply donations to the people who need connection most — elders, hospital patients, veterans, and students with special needs.

Our Story

Meet the Founder

Arts-n-STEM 4 Hearts was founded in 2019 by Amber Briscoe, a Cornell University graduate with a B.S. in Human Biology, Health, and Society and minors in Gerontology and Human Development. Currently pursuing a career in dentistry, Amber has always been passionate about blending art and science — two fields that fuel her desire to heal and uplift others.

Amber's love for art began as a child. In fourth grade, her aunt took her to her first painting class, sparking a lifelong passion. She went on to master oils and acrylics, finding in art a joyful creative outlet and a powerful way to connect with others. Deeply committed to community service, Amber believes we are all called to use our unique talents to uplift those around us. This conviction sparked the idea for Arts-n-STEM 4 Hearts: a way to share her love of art with those who need connection most.

What started as small painting sessions with elderly residents and art kits for hospital patients has grown — through the challenges of a pandemic, the dedication of hundreds of volunteers, and thousands of creative acts — into a nationally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit. At its core, Arts-n-STEM 4 Hearts remains true to its founding purpose: using creativity, compassion, and science to bring joy, dignity, and belonging to seniors, hospital patients, veterans, children with special needs, and under-resourced communities.

Recognized Impact

National recognition,
real lives changed

During the pandemic, our volunteers stepped up with compassion and creativity. In addition to our art kits and STEM donations, we produced and donated hundreds of handmade face masks, assembled care packages with essentials and encouraging notes for frontline workers and patients, and collected non-perishable food items to support local food banks.

We transformed the challenges of COVID-19 into Courage 2020, refusing to pause a mission that was too important to stop. For these efforts, Arts-n-STEM 4 Hearts was named Community Champions by Rep. David Trone. Our dedicated volunteers have also earned some of the nation's highest honors for youth service and STEM outreach.
