Ways to get Involved

  • Select the locations and times you will be available based on the MCPS site

  • Present yourself at the location at the appropriate time

  • Contact the site lead and make sure to sign in and out.


  • The foundation is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization and all contributions are tax deductible.

  • Make financial contributions through online giving or via check

  • For non-monetary contributions please contact us via email



Become an Arts-N-STEM4Hearts Ambassador: 

If you're interested in becoming an ambassador, we have three options outlined below. All of our ambassadors will be specially recognized on our website with a brief summary of how they've supported the foundation, along with a spotlight Facebook post! Please feel free to send us an email if you have any questions!

As a new Arts Ambassador

  • Share your artistic abilities and talents by:

    • Donating completed art work (for donation to healthcare institutions or for fundraising)​

      • Can be paintings, calligraphy with encouraging notes, bead/friendship bracelets, hand made greeting cards, clay/ceramics projects, holiday themed arts and crafts, etc. 

    • Share your new, creative ideas by sending us a video tutorial of your arts and crafts project for our volunteers to replicate! (Please sign video/photography consent forms found above).

    • Share your musical talent by:

      • providing live music during our foundation's outreach events at hospitals and nursing homes.​ Please send us an email so we can coordinate!

As a new STEM ambassador,

  • Share your STEM knowledge and talents by:

    • Sending us an original article (650-1000 words) to be published on our Facebook and website, discussing:​

      • STEM mentorship​/internship experience, guidance for students interested in STEM

      • New research breakthroughs or a summary of an interesting STEM research topic

      • STEM career guidance for various ages (K-12th grade)

    • Sending us a video of a safe, fun and creative DIY STEM project using purchased kits or homemade materials, including discussion of the applicable STEM concepts for publishing on our Facebook and website!​​

    • Share creative projects (doesn't necessarily have to be STEM​​- based) for children with special needs.

      • Projects can be focused to assist with function in visual, auditory, tactical, body awareness, body movement, motor, cognition ​and basic life skill areas.

      • ​This can be shared as a video or written explanation/tutorial​.

As a new Chapter Ambassador, you will be leading the foundation's mission:

  • to coordinate and host at least two (2) or more events for collecting, organizing and preparing art kits and STEM kits (at least 100 bags per event). The foundation will provide all marketing materials and kits packaging materials to each Ambassador (actual arts/ STEM project supplies not provided).


  • raise $500.00 dollars annually to support the foundation’s efforts

Here are the steps:

  • Schedule an event date

  • Create a schedule for your arts supplies or STEM kits collection efforts (each event must be able to prepare at least 100 bags of arts or STEM based project supplies

  • Create and maintain an inventory list for your collection efforts

  • Create arts or STEM supplies bags

  • Coordinate with Arts-N-STEM4Hearts leadership team for distributing bags at hospitals or nursing homes or under privileged communities

  • Share photos of your event(s) or collection(s) and share it with us at support@arts-n-stem4hearts.org

  • Document your activities, time and efforts and submit it to the foundation for special recognition on our website and on all of our social media as part of our team!
